If you would like to know more about the guidance that is available, our website includes a number of important resources that can offer guidance,  including what to do if you think someone you know needs helphow to keep people safe, and support organisations you can talk to.

Passing on information to organisations such as Crimestoppers or Fearless can not only help after a crime or incident, but vitally stop something from happening.

At around 17:30hrs on Tuesday, 8 July, 2025, police were called to reports of a stabbing in the green space off Bridgewater Road, between Victoria Road and West End Road in Ruislip.

Emergency services attended and the victim was taken to hospital. Fortunately, their injuries were assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

Officers from the West Area Local Investigations Unit are leading the enquiry. No arrests have been made at this time, and enquiries are ongoing.

In response to the incident, Safer Neighbourhood officers will be conducting reassurance patrols in the area over the coming days.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact police quoting CAD 6243/08JUL. You can call 101, report online at www.met.police.uk, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.
